Sites-4-Schools
1. What portions of the school
website can I update? Through
the Administrative Module, you
can update the following: the
Home Page, the Administration
opening page, Staff Directory,
News section, Calendar, and the
PTA page.
2. What is the Administrative
Module? The Administrative
Module is a browser-based tool
that lets you update portions
of your school website with the
use of forms instead of HTML.
You simply type in the appropriate
content to the corresponding fields
and your website is dynamically
updated.
3. Can you integrate the school
website with the district website?
Yes. OS4E offers integration of
the school website into the district
website. The extent of this integration
and the exact blueprint of how
this will be accomplished are
determined according to each school
or district's needs. Separate
costs are involved with this form
of integration and are established
once the need for school-to-district
integration is specified.
4. Can we integrate the 30-Minute
websites with our school site?
If you already have the 30-Minute
Website for Teachers and you want
to integrate it with Sites-4-Schools,
you can link off the school site
to the dynamically generated page
tool that ships with 30-Minutes.
5. What do you mean by "customized"
school website solution?
Sites-4-Schools is customized
in that you specify the colors,
the pictures, and the content.
OS4E is then responsible for creating
the website based on your specifications.
6. Can we add pictures to
the school website? Yes. You
can give OS4E pictures to include
in your website as part of the
design process. You will also
have the capability to upload
pictures yourself on designated
pages. These pages are: the Home
Page, News, and the opening page
of Administration. These pictures
can be changed at any time through
the Administrative Module.
7. Who is responsible for
updating the website after the
initial site launches? The
school should designate one person
to update and maintain the school
website. This person will have
access to everything housed in
the Administrative Module and
can make updates through this
tool.
8. Can I stay with my current
hosting company? Yes. We will
work with your current hosting
company if you choose or you can
choose to host your school website
with one of our hosting partners.
9. What happens when I want
to make a change to a page on
the school site, but that page
isn't accessible through the Administrative
Module? All pages, excluding
the ones you update through the
Administrative Module, are built
using industry standard HTML code.
If you have access to an HTML
editor and the files on your school
server, you may update the HTML
pages accordingly. If you choose
to make updates to the static
HTML pages on your own, make sure
that person is well versed in
HTML so as to not destroy the
integrity of the pages.
